Silicone Spray

Brands

SILICONE SPRAY (f.k.a. SILITEX) is a silicone lubricating agent, formulated for the lubrication of mechanisms operating under high moisture or dusty conditions.
SILICONE SPRAY significantly reduces friction and static electricity buildups on all types of surfaces.

APPLICATIONS

SILICONE SPRAY is a versatile lubricant used in many industries:

  • Textile: reduces friction on cutting edges, pressing equipment, shuttles, and sewing tables.
  • Timber / Furniture: prevent sticking on drawer runners and slides, lubrication of saw blades.
  • Plastic injection: mould release agent.
  • Shoe manufacturing: sliding agent for cutting machine tables, dies, heel moulds.
  • Rubber: sliding agent for rubber / rubber or rubber / metal contacts.
  • Electronic / Printing: lubrication of plastic gears and small mechanisms.
  • Laundries: lubrication of chutes.
  • Vending machine: lubrication of coil mechanisms.
  • Food-packaging: saws, cutters, grinders, bottlers, conveyors belts, chains, open mechanisms etc…
  • Restaurants and hotels.
  • Plastic Injection: used as a mould release agent.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

  • Significantly reduces friction.
  • Does not leave any residue.
  • Excellent Water repellent action.
  • Odourless.
  • Colourless, will not “yellowish” over time.
  • Non-staining.
  • Harmless to all materials: metals, fabrics, rubbers, and plastics.
  • Ideal for contact assemblies: metal / metal, metal / plastic, wood / metal.
  • Good stability over extreme temperatures from -40°C to +205°C.
  • High spreadability and coverage.
  • High dielectric strength.
  • Safe for use.
  • Saves time and reduces maintenance cost.

APPROVALS

  • Meets all requirements of the U.S.D.A. for use as a lubricant in all Federal inspected food processing establishments.
  • Listed in the U.S.D.A.’s list of chemical compounds authorized for use under USDA Poultry, Meat, Rabbit, and Egg Products Inspection Programs. Original acceptance letter is on file in the home office.
  • FDA clearance received – cleared for incidental food contact surfaces where no more than 10 ppm silicone will enter in the food. Not for cooking surfaces.

DIRECTIONS

  • Clean surface to be lubricated. Hold container 25cm from surface and spray a light film with a fast sweeping motion. When used on sticking surfaces, work object back and forth. Spray again if necessary.

Note for use in the food industry:

  • Avoid overspraying (if excess is applied, wipe off with a clean cloth), the residual food tolerance is 10 ppm according to FDA.

Do not use on parts that will be painted or bonded (use PEI 35 – 838 instead).

STORAGE & SAFETY

  • Two years, stored in closed original packaging in a cool and dry environment.
  • If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Wash mouth thoroughly with water.
